The fire-year conflict is a genuine local quirk. TSLA says 1876, another chronology implies a fire before the current courthouse replaced the first in 1871, and a locality guide says 1870. It is safer to ask whether a specific book or index survives than to force one date. WPA transcriptions are useful substitute indexes, but the surviving original or microfilm remains the stronger source when available.

Where Tullahoma Directories End

Several tempting directory categories were not verified as open public resources. Research found no authoritative citywide cemetery search, current carrier white pages, unrestricted alumni directory, neighborhood resident list, congregation membership list, union roster, AEDC historical personnel roster, or veterans-post membership archive.
